Guy Leech Health

Guy Leech shot to fame as a 19 year old with an extraordinary against the odds victory in the first ever professional ironman race in the world the Coolangatta Gold in 1984 in front of 120,000. People lined  the Gold Coast and a massive television audience viewed the stunning victory. Leech epitomised the bronzed Aussie with his sun bleached hair, outgoing personality, athletic talent and fighting spirit which saw him dominate Iron Man competition for the next 10 years.

"Leechy" won an amazing 7 Uncle Toby's Iron Man Championships and the World Iron Man title in the event many believe to be the ultimate test of fitness. He won the Australian Marathon swimming championships, represented his country in still water swimming and triumphed in his first attempt at the gruelling World Ocean Paddling championship in Molokai, Hawaii's over 56kms.

In 1994 Guy was crowned "Australia's fittest Athlete" by the Australian Institute of Sport over elite athletes from our highest profile sports. Inside Sport dubbed him "The Fittest man on the Planet" the following year. He is now 44 years old and remains in phenomenal shape that Ultra Fit magazine called him the "Fittest 40 year old on the planet" in their 100th issue.

In 2007 he launched "Guy Leech Health" company and now helps others to get fit - from his daily morning men’s and women’s training groups to world class athletes such as 7 times world surfing champion, Layne Beachley and Olympic Beach Volleyball Gold Medallist, Kerri Pottharst to high profile celebrities with weight and health issues such as Casey Donovan, Jono Coleman and Dicko.

Leechy has also trained celebs such as Madonna, George Clooney, Antonia Kidman & currently looks after Tom Williams & Paul O’Brien to name a few.

Guy feels very passionately about Australia and is going to do all he can to address the health issues that are affecting kids and adults in this country like never before - obesity and heart disease to name a couple. He has established a multi media platform from which he educates and motivates Australians about the importance of fitness and health. In conjunction with industry leaders MBF and Nutritioncare Guy is developing his own range of premium yet affordable fitness & sports equipment that is available in-store at Kmart around Australia.

Guy continues to utilise television, radio and print media to cement himself as Australia's face of health and fitness. Guy is the ambassador for the Heart Research Institute of Aust and runs, swims, cycles & paddles to raise awareness and money for more charities than any other Australian Celebrity. He is married to wife Helen with 2 daughters, Paloma and Phoenix.

Guy has recognized the need to create innovative & fun corporate health programs where actions speak louder than words.

Corporate Testimonials

Over the last year we have employed the services of Guy leech to address both our clients and our staff on the importance of understanding health and fitness.

When Guy presented to our staff at our annual conference, the feed back was outstanding, with the main benefit being that many of our team have since changed their lives for the better thank's to the simple (yet very effective) wake up call that Guy delivered.

These measurable results have been in many ways with different staff :diet, now taking the stairs, not buying the biscuits in the first place, setting goals, having more energy and taking responsibility for their results, etc.

I truly believe that any organisation (be it for staff or their clients) would benefit from what Guy has to offer. The presentation is honest, to the point and easily understood as Guy delivers it in his own unique and refreshing way.

Following on from the positive feedback from our staff, we have since had Guy present to our clients at our annual client conference in Queensland.  Once again, Guy delivered and the client feedback said it all. Guy was also able to "tailor" this presentation to work in with our conference.  We have now booked Guy to present at our Client Summit in Sydney and are also delighted to have him involved with our Corporate magazine.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Guy Leech to any organisation that is committed to improving the health of others.

When MBF appointed Guy Leech as it’s Health and Fitness Ambassador late last year I was already well aware of how Guy had continually excelled in everything he had set his mind to tackling, from his days as an elite sportsman to his more recent challenges as a contestant on Celebrity Survivor.

With that in mind I asked Guy to participate in our Team Building and Business Conference at Ettalong recently where we handed over the running of the afternoon to Guy and his team from “Guy Leech World of Fitness”.

Guy and the team planned a unique array of fun yet challenging physical and mental team building exercises which took our team members out of their comfort zone and saw them reach new heights in an enormously fun environment.

Not only did Guy plan the day but he didn’t mind getting right in amongst the team in a very hands on approach from start to finish. The feedback from our staff was that it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Guy concluded the day by delivering a fantastic, highly motivating and at times very humorous after dinner speech.

Over my time in business I have been involved in many offsite sessions where “Sport Stars & Celebrities” have been invited top attend and give addresses. Guy certainly exceeded all expectations we had over the day and I would highly recommend Guy to anyone considering planning a function or team building event.

We brought Guy into Intel to help change the health culture of the organization. His knowledge & enthusiasm in this area is second to none & he had the desired result for us.

Not only was my team pumped from the experience but they also took skills away with them that they are using everyday.

The whole building is better off from the experience!
