Jim Bouchard (aka The Karate Guy), first started to promote Dynamic Components of Personal Power in 2006, helping people unlock their fullest potential to develop greater happiness and productivity in business and personal life.
The fact is that most of what I'm teaching to people in business and in the general public comes from what I've learned in my life as a martial artist. I've translated these "Components" for building power for personal & professional life to help you earn your Black Belt in Success!
Jim has been a television producer, publisher, volunteer firefighter, musician, radio disk jockey, construction worker, janitor, football coach, hot dog vendor, manager, employee and entrepreneur. The common thread throughout all these incredible opportunities was that of teacher. People have always looked to Jim for information and guidance and not always feeling equipped for or comfortable in that role, he sought training that would help develop his confidence and sense of direction in my life. This led to a life-long journey in martial arts.
In 1994 Jim started his first martial arts school and has since founded the Northern Chi Martial Arts Centers, a system designed to share the benefits of martial arts training with anyone willing to take the journey. As the system grew he found other instructors who embraced the mission and developed Northern Chi Headquarters to share his experience and knowledge in martial arts and business. This has now grown to 4 centers serving students throughout Maine.
As his martial arts business grew, Jim saw the need to develop media to support his curriculum and thus created San Chi Publishing to address this need. Sometime in 2006 he came to a life-changing realization. He began to really examine why his martial arts program helped so many people realize their fullest potential and started to isolate the key elements used to help martial artists develop power in their training.
He then realised that these same principles can be applied to daily life and to people outside the martial arts and this realization gave birth to "Dynamic Components of Personal Power".
Jim used these principles on a daily basis and directly attributes his success as a leader and entrepreneur to his understanding and application of these principles. Once he began to understand the fundamental "components" of power, he was able to apply them to generate his own personal power and share that power with others.
