From the early sixties Lloyd spent 13 years in a variety of editorial, marketing and creative roles before being appointed CEO of divisions of Rupert Murdoch’s News Limited.
After quitting News Limited and establishing his own company in 1977, Bond became founding publisher of Australian Penthouse magazine then creative director of Network TEN coverage of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games before he and his family relocated to Queensland’s Gold Coast from where he also operates The Centre for Evolving Imagination.
He established Australia’s first dedicated theme company through which he created theme parks, hotels, casinos, cities of the future; restaurants, fashion, music, books, television, mind games, technology, multi media learning systems, special events, and places throughout the world where people can feel safe, have fun and be happy together.
Between 1997 and October 2000, Lloyd was creative director and a producer and segment director for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, opening, closing and Team Welcome Ceremonies.
His past and present clients include some of the world’s smallest companies as well as several of the largest global corporations and governments including News Corp, Matsushita, Honda, Hilton, Fosters, SOCOG, General Motors, Universal Studios, Disney Corp, The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Unilever, Coca Cola & Brunei Governments.
